Brig. Gen. Assaf Orion (IDF, Res.) is the former head of the IDF Strategic Planning Division, where he oversaw communications with the Lebanese army and represented the IDF in talks with the Palestinian Authority. He is the Rueven International Fellow.

Hanin Ghaddar, the former managing editor of Lebanon’s Now newspaper, is an expert in Lebanese politics with a special focus on Hezbollah. She is the Friedmann Senior Fellow.

Matthew Levitt, is the author of a landmark book on Hamas and a leading authority on the U.S.-designated terrorist group. A former deputy assistant Treasury secretary for intelligence and analysis, he is the Fromer-Wexler Fellow and director of the Reinhard Program on Counterterrorism and Intelligence.

Robert Satloff, an expert on Arab and Islamic politics as well as U.S. Middle East policy, has written and spoken widely on the Arab-Israeli peace process and the challenge of political Islam. He is the Segal Executive Director and the Howard P. Berkowitz Chair in U.S. Middle East Policy.
